About Healthy Tech

OUR
VISION

We envision a world, where we interact with digital technology in a healthy way. Where we aren't dependent on it, but rather the technology is a little helper, that can make our day-to-day life easier. Technology that actually makes our lives less stressful, rather than more.

OUR MISSION

The purpose and primary objective of the Healthy Tech Association is to connect with and support companies and institutions across the world, that stand for a new kind of healthy digital technology and usage of it, that doesn’t jeopardize mental health in the same way as other technologies do.
The underlying value is to spread global awareness of how modern technology can influence the mental health of children, adocelscents and adults.

WHAT
WE DO

At the Healthy Tech Association we aim to bring together likeminded people, who strive for a worl, where technology and mental health go hand in hand.

We offer a platform and community, where developer, producer and supporter of Healthy Tech can come together, exchange ideas and further their cause together.

MY
STORY

Ever since I was a little kid, I was always very aware of my surroundings. I picked up on many small and seemingly unsignificant things.

This can be wonderful but also very (over-)stimulating. As growing older, technology became more and more part of our daily lives. First – of course – we all welcomed the helpful devices and tools. They made our lives easier.

But the more technology consumed every aspect of our lives, the stimulations become almost overwhelming.

Setting boundaries to something that is always available is very difficult.

Even the most strongwilled had trouble loging off.

I experienced that myself. Torn between needing my phone, Apps, the internet, Social Media and knowing it’s not good for my mental health. But not being able to distance myself from it.

And many people in our society had the same problem: Anxiety, Sleeping Problems and adolescent depression rates are rising.

Obviously many tech-devices are designed for people to be addicted to them – the more usage, the more money is made.

Therefore, we cannot let the responsibility of logging-off be solely on the User. The people creating the technology must bear in mind, what effect their tools and devices have on people. And develop tech, that doesn’t put our society to the edge of a mental breakdown.
